Individual Verdicts

Krak Card

Best for: UK and EEA crypto holders

Krak Card is the most transparent crypto debit card in Europe right now: zero transaction fees, zero FX fees, zero ATM fees from Kraken's side, and up to 1% uncapped cashback paid in your choice of local fiat or Bitcoin. It supports 400+ crypto and fiat assets with real-time conversion at checkout and comes at the Mastercard World Elite tier for free. The main limitations are UK/EEA-only availability, a custodial model, and uncertainty around post-promo cashback tiers after March 31, 2026.

Gnosis Pay Card

Best for: EU/UK stablecoin spenders

Gnosis Pay Card is one of the few truly self-custodial Visa debit cards on the market, letting EU, UK and Swiss residents spend EURe, GBPe or USDCe directly from a Safe smart account at any Visa merchant. With no card fees, no FX markup from Gnosis, and up to 5% GNO cashback for token holders, the economics are hard to beat — especially for on-chain natives already earning in stablecoins. However, limited geographic coverage, stablecoin-only spending, a complex onboarding flow and mixed customer support reviews mean this card is better suited to crypto-savvy users than complete beginners.

ether.fi Cash

Best for: ETH long-term holders

ether.fi Cash is the card for ETH long-term holders who want to spend without selling. Borrow against your staked ETH, keep earning restaking yield on your collateral, get up to 3% cashback in wETH, and avoid triggering a taxable sale — no other card does all four. The trade-offs: 1% FX fee on non-USD spending, 2% ATM fees, liquidation risk in Borrow Mode if ETH drops, and a loyalty-point system that rewards heavy users but can confuse casual ones.

MetaMask Card

Best for: self-custody-maxis

MetaMask Card is one of the first truly self-custodial crypto debit cards, letting you spend stablecoins and wETH directly from your MetaMask wallet anywhere Mastercard is accepted without preloading to an exchange. The free Virtual tier gives 1% cashback in mUSD with simple setup, while the Metal tier (US-only for now, $199/year) adds a physical metal card, up to 3% cashback on the first $10k per year, no FX fees and free ATM withdrawals up to $1,200/month. The trade-offs are a complex token-fee matrix, region-limited Metal availability, and a curated token list, so it best fits active MetaMask users who already manage funds on-chain and want to spend them in daily life.

Deblock Card

Best for: French crypto users wanting a single app for banking + crypto

Deblock is the closest thing to a crypto-native Revolut we've tested: a French IBAN, Visa debit card, instant SEPA transfers and a non-custodial crypto wallet in a single app. The free tier is weak on cashback (0%) and crypto fees (1.99%), but the Premium (€10/month) and Native (NFT-gated) tiers unlock 0.49% or 0% crypto fees, up to 1% cashback, and Morpho-powered yield vaults. The limitation today is geographic — France only, with Germany and Ireland planned for 2026.

Crypto.com Visa Card

Best for: Crypto.com power-users willing to stake CRO or pay Level Up subscription for better rewards.

The Crypto.com Visa Card is one of the most feature-rich crypto prepaid cards on the market, with up to 5% CRO cashback, subscription rebates and airport lounge access on higher tiers. However, the best perks require either a large CRO stake or an ongoing Level Up subscription, and rewards on lower tiers are heavily capped. Combined with custodial risk, declining CRO value, and frequent complaints about support, this card suits committed Crypto.com users more than casual newcomers.

Bybit Card

Best for: Existing Bybit traders who want to off-ramp without fees drama

The Bybit Card delivers genuinely strong cashback (2–10%) without requiring you to stake a volatile token — a real differentiator. But the tradeoffs are significant: only seven cryptos are supported for spending, conversion and FX fees stack up fast on non-EUR purchases, and availability across the EEA is uneven — some countries like France and Romania are technically available via Bybit EU but with feature restrictions that aren't clearly documented. It's a solid pick for existing Bybit users in supported countries who want an easy off-ramp. For everyone else, the limitations add up.

Brighty Card

Best for: EU-based digital nomads and crypto earners

Brighty is a solid crypto-fiat neobank for EU residents who want IBAN accounts, a Visa debit card and yield on crypto holdings in a single custodial app. The Earning Vaults (up to 10% APY, no lockup) are the standout feature. The card itself is decent but unexceptional: 0.5% cashback on the free tier capped at $20/month, up to 1.75% on Pro, with dynamic bonus categories that reward heavier spenders. The custodial model, modest cashback, and no free ATM withdrawals hold it back against the best crypto cards in Europe.

Plutus Card

Best for: UK/EEA domestic perk optimizers

Plutus offers the highest theoretical cashback rate among European crypto cards (up to 9%) and a perk system with 50+ brands (Netflix, Spotify, Aldi, Lidl, Uber, Amazon) that can offset subscription and grocery costs in practice. But the 2026 pricing overhaul removed the free tier, introduced a 2.5% FX fee, and capped eligible monthly spend at £250–£1,000 depending on plan. It's now a niche card for disciplined domestic spenders in the UK/EEA who actively manage perks and understand PLU tokenomics — not a general-purpose card.

CL Card

Best for: Ledger hardware wallet users

CL Card is built for one person: the Ledger hardware wallet user who wants to spend crypto without moving assets to an exchange. The 1% BTC cashback and Ledger Live integration sound good on paper, but the 3.75% combined fees on crypto-funded transactions (1.75% conversion + 2% spend fee) wipe out the rewards and then some. Unless you fund with fiat and spend domestically — in which case there are cheaper cards — the economics don't work.
